Looks like the 1930s are back

A hard rain’s a gonna fall.

1º – An Economic Depression that’s never going to end.

2º – A member of the British Parliament, MP Jo Cox, murdered, shot.

3º – A few days later the fascists win the Brexit referendum, and the fascist Nigel Farage, the most successful politician in the UK, gloats that the British have achieved independence «without a single shot being fired».

4º – The fascists win in Britain, the nazis win in the USA.

5º – Proxy wars. Eastern people displaced by the proxy wars enter Europe, like the Jews did in the 1930s.

6º – Terror against the innocent civilian population: truck mass killings in Nice, and today 19-December-mmxvi in Berlin.

7º – Russian Ambassador to Turkey, Andrei Karlov, murdered, shot.

8º – The British pound devalued 18%.

Black Friday 2016   the day after the United Kingdom European Union membership referendum, 2016 took place with a result of the United Kingdom deciding to leave the European Union. The result caused financial markets to lose the equivalent of over 2 trillion United States dollars on this day, making it the worst single day drop in history.

When Brexit really happens, because this disaster is happening without Act of Parliament or a decision by the British cabinet, another devaluation of at least 20% on top looks likely, that will be a combined devaluation of 40%, and when that happens, in this country we are going to eat shit, and you know what? There’s not going to be enough shit for all of us.

How Republics End

«if there is any hope of redemption, it will have to begin with a clear recognition of how bad things are. American democracy is very much on the edge.»

While England Slept, by Winston Churchill

Why England Slept, by President John F. Kennedy

I read the book of my admired Kennedy when I was sixteen years old, at the Library of the USIS (Biblioteca Artigas-Washington) in Montevideo.

I don’t think that anybody has read any of these two books, either in Spain or in the UK, seeing the dumbing down that spreads in the world.

While of course I am not in the same league as Churchill and Kennedy I believe it is my duty to the UK, the country where I eat, to warn them of what’s in store for all of us: misery and worse.

I know it is useless, but it is my moral duty.
